ITINERARY: Istanbul – Tromso – Sommaroy – Istanbul

We are heading to Tromso, the best place to witness the Northern Lights, on our photo trip to Norway. This will be our tenth trip to Norway, and each time, we have always been fortunate to see the Northern Lights in Tromso. Get ready for a beautiful journey to Tromso, Norway, which will be the warmest, most enjoyable snow holiday, and a photography trip of your life. We will have a small group of only 6 participants on this trip.
DAY 1 - March 15, 2024 (MONDAY) ISTANBUL-TROMSO We depart from Istanbul Airport and will be in Tromso by evening. Upon reaching our accommodation, we will settle in and, depending on the weather, start searching for the Northern Lights. If conditions are favorable, we will prepare for the shoot and head out for photography.
DAY 2 - March 16, 2024 (TUESDAY) TROMSO After breakfast, we will explore the fjords with our vehicle, capturing unique natural landscapes. Norway is generous when it comes to nature photography, and each photo spot will surpass the previous one. During the day, we will select the points we like and plan to return to these places in the evening to photograph the Northern Lights. Since we have been coming back and forth for years, we already know many points.
DAY 3 - March 17, 2024 (WEDNESDAY) TROMSO - SOMMAROY After breakfast, we will set out for Sommaroy. Along the way, we will have photo breaks at beautiful spots. As long as the road is suitable, we have the chance to stop at every point we like. After a pleasant day, we will return to Tromso in the evening. After dinner, depending on the weather, we will go out to capture the Northern Lights.
DAY 4 - March 18, 2024 (THURSDAY) TROMSO After breakfast, we spend the whole day exploring Tromso, taking photos in snowy streets, and maybe exploring some shops. In the evening, we will return to our accommodation after dinner and check the weather again. Our accommodation will still be in Tromso. Depending on the weather, we will go out to capture the Northern Lights at night.
DAY 5 - March 19, 2024 (FRIDAY) TROMSO After breakfast, we will once again travel between the fjords with our vehicle to see breathtaking views. In the evening, we will return to our accommodation and have dinner. Our accommodation will be in Tromso. Depending on the weather, we may go out again to capture the Northern Lights.
DAY 6 - March 19, 2024 (FRIDAY) TROMSO - ISTANBUL After breakfast, we may have a few hours, but considering the road conditions, we will head to the airport a bit early. You can wrap up this trip by waking up early in the morning and taking sunrise photos. We leave behind a very different, very enjoyable trip, colored by the Northern Lights, and hopefully, you will have had a satisfying view of the Northern Lights before returning to Istanbul.
