The South Korea photo tour will be a unique journey where we will spend a night in a temple with monks. During this stay, we will engage in meditation, observe the daily life of the monks, and capture moments through photography. This day will be the highlight of our journey.
In the following days of our trip, we will explore some special villages in South Korea, photographing their unique lifestyles. Each village has its own architectural style and way of life, ranging from colorful to mesmerizing wall designs. We will also visit a bamboo park, adding a touch of tranquility to our vibrant and exciting journey.
DAY 1 - June 14, 2024 (Friday) ISTANBUL - SEOUL Our journey begins upon arriving in Seoul. Today, we will have a light start, visiting a classic village according to our flight schedule. We will wander among old houses and temples, capturing photographs. After the village visit, we will explore Changdeokgung Palace, one of the five grand palaces. The palace's intricate details, walls, and vibrant colors provide excellent photo opportunities. In the evening, we will take a boat trip to see and photograph Seoul. Afterward, we will have dinner together and head to our hotel for the night.
DAY 2 - June 15, 2024 (Saturday) SEOUL - JEONJU After breakfast, we will embark on a 3-hour journey to Jeonju, where we will visit a village with 800 traditional houses. We will capture the life in this village, encountering individuals dressed in traditional clothing. It promises to be a delightful photographic journey. Later in the day, we will visit another village known for its wall paintings. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at a selected Korean cuisine restaurant and head to our hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 3 - June 16, 2024 (Sunday) JEONJU - BUSAN Today, after breakfast, we will travel to Busan for a 4-hour journey. Upon reaching, we will explore a bamboo forest, taking a leisurely stroll and capturing photographs. The first half of the day will be spent in a peaceful green environment. Later, surrounded by greenery, we will visit tea gardens in the late afternoon and photograph these beautiful terraced gardens. After wrapping up the day, we will have dinner together and retire to our hotel for rest.
DAY 4 - June 17, 2024 (Monday) BUSAN After breakfast, we will explore lively streets, wandering through an Asian market area where locals shop. Here, we will have opportunities for both shopping and photography. In the second half of the day, we will experience something unique by spending a night in a temple with monks. During this time, we will participate in meditation, attend teachings, and share meals with the monks. We will spend time in the temple's garden, capturing photographs of the monks. In the evening, we will attend a ceremony featuring traditional musical instruments called dharma. By the end of the day, you will have experienced a rare and memorable event.
DAY 5 - June 18, 2024 (Tuesday) BUSAN Our morning activities in the temple will continue, starting early with breakfast with the monks. Subsequently, we will have a collective meditation session, followed by a return to city life. We will return to bustling streets, making two different market visits. These places offer both shopping and photography opportunities. Classic Asian crowded streets, street vendors, street food, and, of course, people will be the subjects of our photographs. In the afternoon, we will visit a colorful settlement, concluding the day with photos taken here. After dinner, we will head back to our hotel for a relaxing evening.
DAY 6 - June 19, 2024 (Wednesday) BUSAN - GYEONGJU After breakfast, our journey continues with a 2-hour trip to Gyeongju. Another beautiful village visit awaits us, where we will walk through clean streets, capturing photographs of Korean architecture. Later, we will visit the Seoguram Grotto Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The vibrant structure and giant statues of the temple will leave a lasting impression. In the evening, we will go to Woljeonggyo Bridge to photograph its illuminated beauty. After spending some time capturing the sunset, we will depart. We will have dinner together and retire to our hotel for the night.
DAY 7 - June 20, 2024 (Thursday) GYEONGJU - SEOUL After breakfast, we will embark on a 4-hour journey back to Seoul. Once again, we will visit a traditional village. After this final village visit, we will return to lively streets. This time, we will explore the market in Seoul. Insadong offers traditional handmade paper (hanji), decorated cafes, and more, providing excellent photo opportunities. After this traditional market visit, we will conclude our journey by visiting a street with luxury stores. We will have dinner together and then head to our hotel to rest.
DAY 8 - June 21, 2024 (Friday) SEOUL - ISTANBUL After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport to return home. This trip promises to be colorful, traditional, and privileged with a temple stay.
